Whether or not the measured value is affected depends on the position and size of the scratch. If the scratch is a very thin, hairline scratch then it may not affect the measured value, but if it is larger or in a bad spot, it may have an effect. If you are worried about the accuracy of your meter, we recommend you have it checked by your country's local distributor.
