The illuminance measurement function on our exposure meters like the L-478 and L-858 Series is "Simplified Illuminance Measurement", converted from EV numbers, with the accuracy of ±15%. It is designed on the basis that it measures point light source with flat spectral characteristics. Therefore it is not suitable for measuring LED or fluorescent light with acute spectral characteristics. On the other hand, C-700/C-7000/C-800 are the products which are applied to "JIS C 1609-:2006 for General Class A luminance meter". They can measure any illuminance for any type of light source with the accuracy of ±5%. The illuminace figures by C-700/C-7000/C-800 is more accurate than that by exposure meters.
