Rather, they simply indicate that the device complies with the relevant regulations for different regions—CE for Europe and parts of Asia (including South Korea), and FCC for the United States.
The model you purchased, the L-858D-U, is FCC compliant, as stated on the packaging. There is no need to change any internal setting to use it in the U.S.
