To change the modes on the Sekonic L-308X or L-308X-U, simply hold the Menu button while powering on the meter. The screen will display the current mode you’re in.
Once the mode screen appears:

Press the blue MODE button to cycle through the available modes:

Photo – for all photography work

Hd_C – HD Cine mode, for video cameras that use shutter speeds

Cine – for video cameras that use shutter angles

After selecting your desired mode, power off the meter and power it back on normally. It will start up in the mode you selected.
